Meditation and Cancer Treatment

Cancer is a mean disease. Options are few, treatment is scary, and outlook is uncertain. The only thing we have control over is attitude.

The positive effects of surgery and other cancer treatments are often hampered by worry, fear, stress, and negative obsessive thoughts. A positive attitude is hard to come by in this instance, but the practice of meditation has proven to be a powerful healing tool.

Get comfortable and focus. Visualize your procedures being done. Watch all of the cancer disappearing from your body. Using as much detail as you can, see the radiation and the chemo zapping cancerous cells. Now see the healthy cells forming. Envision your whole body as healthy and thriving. Allow yourself to feel what that feels like. Embrace that feeling.

Just as negative thoughts can easily deteriorate your condition, positive ones encourage healing. You have to pick one or the other. You have control over that.

RE: Meditation and Cancer Treatment

I agree on meditation and visualization being effective. These things should accompany every treatment. Sometimes, with these two alone, treatment won't even be necessary anymore. The power of the mind and sheer positive energy can heal!

RE: Meditation and Cancer Treatment

as much as possible be aware of the illness that you have. cancer is a traitor, you can never can tell that it is really cured unless if it went on through years upon the moment you are healed. but this would come back again if you would still abuse yourself. just be sure that you are going to some of healthy lifestyle and get some check up every once in a while.
